Wildling Academy

Our Nature Academy Day Retreat is a full-day outdoor experience designed to honour the natural rhythms of childhood and the land. Rooted in a homesteading approach to care, this retreat invites children aged 2.5 to 5 years of age into a space where play is purposeful, time is unhurried, and connection is at the heart of learning.

Children are free to follow their interests—whether that’s feeding animals, helping in the garden, building with natural materials, or quietly observing the world around them. Some children thrive in movement and hands-on tasks, others need calm, sensory-rich moments and our rhythm honours them all.

This approach supports each child’s unique needs while nurturing a sense of responsibility, cooperation, and belonging. Through shared experiences, real-world learning, and the rhythms of nature, children develop deep, lasting connections to themselves, each other, and the world they’re part of.

Guided by simplicity, presence, and care, our retreat blends bush play, seasonal tasks, creative exploration, and rest—offering a nurturing space where families can slow down, reconnect, and grow together.

Wildling Play

This little playgroup has been a dream in the making—built on a love of nature, child-led wonder, and the kind of sensory play that connects us back to the earth (and each other).

We believe:

🌱 Nature is the most magical classroom

🧡 Connection is at the heart of everything

🌈 Sensory experiences open up the whole child—mind, body, and heart.

Our sessions are slow, playful, inclusive and wild—in the best way. Whether you’re joining with a baby on your hip or a fearless four-year-old explorer, there’s a place for you in our community.

Let the muddy feet, leafy hands, and wide-eyed wonder begin.
